Dear Lake Sherwood Community,
I'm excited to share some captivating history that intertwines the Yeager and Mohwinkle families, two names deeply rooted in our local lore.
Harold Yeager, a prominent figure in the insurance business, once called Lake Sherwood home. His legacy extends beyond our tranquil shores, as he was instrumental in erecting the State Farm building at 3625 SW 29th. Although my encounters with Harold were fleeting, his impact resonates through the community.
Notably, his son Steve Yeager, a former Macerich company employee, also graced our neighborhood with his presence. Alongside luminaries like Dana K Anderson, a founding member of Macerich, Steve cultivated opportunities in commercial real estate that spanned cities, illuminating fresh perspectives for the next generation.
Today, the narrative takes a fascinating turn as Ryan Mohwinkle assumes residence in Lake Sherwood. Ryan, now the proprietor of Harold Yeager's former abode, symbolizes the seamless continuity of legacy and progress. With Rick Tramp's retirement, Ryan will soon relocate his office within the historic building, a testament to the enduring ties that bind our community.
As you traverse SW 29th east of Gage, the State Farm signs serve as enduring markers of this shared history. Let us extend a warm Lake Sherwood welcome to Ryan Mohwinkle and his family as they embark on this new chapter. The saga of the Yagers and Mohwinkles is a testament to the rich tapestry of our community's past and present.
With anticipation for the future, Kismet
