Mr. McClure,
As per your exchange with Rhiannon Friedman yesterday, the City has commissioned a study with the Kansas Turnpike Authority in regards a potential interchange near 29th and California. This was discussed and approved at an open City Council meeting in November. Those results are expected at the end of February.
The study is an update to plans that were widely shared in the community. Money to develop plans for a southeast turnpike interchange were first approved in May 2018 as part of the City’s 2019 – 2018 Capital Improvement plan. A concept memo was drafted for the KTA in February 2016: https://issuu.com/tcj5/docs/

Our goal is to always get to “Yes.” These results will help determine the best path forward for the business who is requesting the utilities work.
