Meet Mace - #mcre1
With Richard Cohen, Siegel founded a shopping-mall development company in 1964 in New York City. Combining their first names, they called it MaceRich.
When the firm relocated to Santa Monica to oversee the rehabilitation of an outdated mall in Lakewood, Siegel also moved west, in 1976.
MaceRich found a niche as a redeveloper of
shopping centers, including Santa Monica Place, which it acquired in
1999 and finished overhauling last year. Siegel retired from the company
in 2008.

The debriefing 5 11 2021 -
---- While working at 911 Storage when what I thought was a building inspector [hoping for a Facebook stalker] pops in to say hello. Well, it turns out to be an old-fashioned business person cold calling to build relationships. NOW she has my attention and respect. So I want to thank Margina Otter for reminding me of the fundamentals and what made me a top commercial broker.
When Margina asked me what I was doing working in the building [as a construction worker] I was reminded of what BABE Ruth said "half of winning is showing up" and at that juncture all my help was late. Now, we come back to her question. I needed to be in the building today just to meet her if for nothing else.
Hearing her lecture today was like Mace or Dana pounding how important building a relationship was. The phone is for making appointments [Maace always said you get off your ass and meet face to face] What is even more prophetic we are sanding of land where Mace and Dana did their 1st deal.
